We’re speaking at WERC DX 2021!

WERCDX session announcement

Join us on Wednesday, May 5th at 9am CDT

The virtual show is a few months away yet, but the schedule for WERC DX, WERC’s 44th annual conference for logistics professionals, has been released, and there’s no time like the present to start planning your summer conference schedule, albeit virtual for now.

Our session, optimizing in the face of adversity: a case study of one retailer’s journey through the pandemic, will provide an in-depth retrospective of an important project that we completed not too long ago with a North American health and wellness retailer that was forced to act fast when retail store closures, due to the pandemic, shifted customer demand to an already overburdened e-commerce channel.

Through this session, participants will learn the impact of timely and proactive decision-making, and they will also learn the impact that a data-driven continuous improvement mind-set can have on the agility and resiliency of a distribution operation.

If you need a reminder of how important agility and resiliency is to a supply chain, look no further than a recent study by Gartner Supply Chain that found that nearly 90% of supply chain professionals are looking to invest in agility and resiliency over the next two years.

For those who have followed us over the past couple of years, you’ll know that we like to stay pretty active on the conference circuit, mostly in the form of research partnerships or thought-leader sessions, and this year will be no different.

It’s true that virtual conferences pose certain challenges, not only for attendees, but for speakers as well and, in terms of networking, there is just no substitute for a dinner reception. I believe, however, that there has never been a more important time in recent memory for supply chain leaders to come together and learn from one another as right now. As we emerge from a pandemic that wreaked so much havoc on supply chains over the past 12 months, there is not one supply chain executive or operator out there that isn’t looking for some ideas or inspiration.

With that, get those calendars out and make sure to make time for WERC DX.
